The Jams, also known as The Jams Brand, consist of the duo: Augie WK and Jessica Carmen, who aim their focus towards public art. Having met in San Francisco, they soon discovered they were both born and raised in California's Central Coast. And from there, a career creating bold, colorful works of art that grab your attention from far away and pull you in for a more intimate interaction began.

The Jams are inspired by their Chicano culture and growing up exploring California and all that it has to offer. Their own culture being such an inspiration, they hope to also provide ways to promote other cultures, communities and California’s vibrant landscapes. Recent work of Augie WK explores a “conversation” between street art and stained glass art. While Jessica Carmen's work weaves stories of communities with culturally significant imagery.

While The Jams prefer to paint murals, they often find themselves creating gallery exhibition art, mosaic designs, sculptural installations, activity pages for children, cultural zines and more so that all of their creative ideas can find a home and offer more to the communities with which they engage.

As artists, they have participated in and worked with 1Culture Gallery & Art Collective, 2Buck Invitational, 333 Arts, Bizare Art Festival, California Roots Music Festival, City of Santa Cruz, Coastal Watershed Council, Community Bridges, Ofrenda Festival, Going All City PHX, Local Color SJ, San Jose Day, Napa Town & Country Fair, The Old Skulls CDMX, Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, Tannery Arts Center, Together We Create 408, Viva Parks SJ, Napa Town & Country Fair, Silicon Valley Pride, The Walls Art Park, we. Mural Festival Sand City and more. Both AugieWK and Jessica Carmen have also been the recipient of various grants and awards. They also curate and offer administrative support for arts events and murals.
